We
enjoyed beautiful weather for our first out door beach event! The
annual Alpine Easter egg hunt turned out fantastic thanks to Mother
Nature and the great turn out of all the Alpine Beach children. Thank
you to Karina Hein and Rich Roberto for organizing this event. A
special thanks to the Easter Bunny for the special appearance and all
of the Easter eggs! Our next event is the Memorial Day picnic. The Memorial Day picnic is scheduled for May 30th, 12-5pm. $10 per adult $5 per child, maximum of $25 per household. Included fare will be hams, hots, brats, grog, lemonade, iced tea, chips, and italian ice. Each family is asked to bring a side dish or dessert to share. A reminder all dock member forms should have been submitted by May 1st. The form may be downloaded HERE. In June we are looking forward to our annual Alpine Beach schools out kid’s party. The schools out kid’s party is scheduled for June 18th from 6-9pm. Cost is $5 per child. This includes one raffle ticket for a chance to win one of two bicycles! The event organizers are working on many different activities for this event for children of all ages including a live band, dunk tank and many other games! Of course the normal hamburgers and hot dogs will also be served. To reserve Alpine Beach for a private party please contact Dina Sullivan at the above Private Parties link. Members in good standing may book a party at Alpine Beach. A small fee of $40 is required. You may not reserve the exclusive use of the beach but you can gain access to the beach facilities on a priority basis. Only two parties may be booked on the same day so reserving in advance is important. We are looking forward to a great year at the beach! |

Simply put, the Alpine Section (for purposes of
Alpine Beach membership) starts at 85 Alpine Trail. If you live on Alpine Trail
and your house number is number 85 or higher, the Alpine Association by-laws
provide that you may join the Alpine Beach. Conversely, if you live on Alpine
Trail and your house number is number 84 or lower, the by-laws do not permit
you to join Alpine Beach. Interestingly, the home or homes on the right
side of Alpine Terrace (as you turn off of Alpine Trail) are also included in
the area eligible to join Alpine Beach. This is so because when the Alpine
section was first envisioned by the Crane Company, the eligible properties were
identified by tax lot and block number and the lots on the right side of Alpine
Terrace are in the same tax block as the lots on the east side (odd number street
addresses) of Alpine Trail. Like all organizations, the Alpine Association is
governed by a set of rules and regulations set down by our founders. These
by-laws specify who can join the Association, how the Association shall be
governed and how officers and trustees are to be selected. When the Alpine
Association was first formed, the by-laws included tax map references to the
lots that were to comprise the 'Alpine Section'. The Alpine Section (for Alpine
Beach purposes) begins with the first lots on Alpine Trail in Blocks 52 and 54.
In plain English, that means 85 Alpine Trail and 86 Alpine
Trail are the first addresses eligible for membership. As noted above,
the several lots on the right hand side of Alpine Terrace as you turn off of
Alpine Trail are also in an eligible block and are eligible for membership. All
lots continuing into Alpine from that point are eligible
,including all lots on Valley View Trail and all side streets off of
Alpine Trail, Summit Trail and
